20000 This is the Research Desk. All of the books that are placed on this desk will appear in the Browser list in the Research Center, and therefore will be available for viewing and performing searches on. You can add books to this Desk individually by dragging them from a shelf or from the Unshelved Book Desk or from the Recycle Bin. If you want a whole shelf of books to appear on the Research Desk then you can drag the title bar of the shelf to the Desk and all of its books will appear on the Desk. Any combination of books can be dragged to this Desk. If you right click on this Desk a menu will pop up allowing you to save all of the books on this desk as a new shelf, or to reshelve all of the books on this Desk. If you would like to reshelve a single book then you can drag it to the librarian, me, and I will automatically return it to its shelf. If the book was not previously on a shelf then I will place it on its default shelf. If a book here has not been shelved before then you can also drag it directly to any shelf that you would like to place it on.
20001 You can press here to leave the library and go back to the Research Center, where you can view all of the books that appear on the Research Desk.
20002 You can press here to add a new book to your library. A book can be added from a CD ROM or from the Internet.
20003 The books that reside on this desk will be both new books and other books that have been taken off their shelves. When you want to place these books on shelves you have a few options. You can hand these books to me and I will place them on their default shelves. If the default shelf for a book does not exist yet then I will automatically create it and place the book on it. Or you can drag each book to the shelf that you would like to place it on. If you would like to create a new shelf to place these books on then you can right click on me and choose Create Shelf from my menu. The new shelf will then appear on the bookcase and you can drag the books to that shelf. A new shelf can also be created from the right click menu of the bookcase.
20004 The bookcase consists of a scrolling list of shelves. You can drag a book from one shelf to another to move it. If you don't see the shelf that you want to drag it to then you can choose that shelf from the pop up menu at the end of each shelf and then drag the book to it. You can also drag a book or a whole shelf of book either to the Research Desk, the Uncatalogued Book Desk or the Recycle Bin.
20005 The shelves are originally all in alphabetical order. You can create a new shelf by choosing New Shelf from the pop up menu at the end of each shelf. Or you can create a new shelf from my right click menu.
20006 You can place any book here that you would like to remove from your library. If a book is dragged to here then all of the copies of that book will be removed from the library. A book is not fully deleted until you choose to do so by selecting the Purge Book option on the Recycled Box's right click menu.
